BENEFICIO FABRICS

REGENERATING FASHION.SAVING LITERS OF WATER

Beneficio is a specialist of deadstock fabrics, a market we were part of before the word existed to describe it.

Every day our team moves between the factories in Prato and the rest of Italy, searching, selecting, connecting the best fabrics with your brand. Benefit doesn’t sell to those who use sustainability as a marketing lever, but to those who have silently integrated it into their way of working.

A wide selection of Made in Italy fabrics for all brands that know the difference.

Beneficio seeks to regenerate the fashion value of each meter of fabric, recover it from its parking lot, and reintroduce it into the production process for which it was designed, with the aim of completing its LCA (Life Cycle Assessment). An activity inspired by the principles of circular economy and the maintenance of the products and materials in use.

WATER

The fashion sector is the second largest consumer of the world’s water supply. The savings in terms of water otherwise used in the new production process are enormous. For every meter of deadstock fabric we can introduce into today’s fashion economy, up to 1,000 liters of water are saved.

CARBON EMISSIONS

Fashion is the 4th most polluting sector in the world, responsible for 10% of annual global carbon emissions. Most emissions come from fabric production and could be reduced with more sustainable operations such as choosing to use pre-produced supplies.

CHEMICALS

There are many chemicals used in contemporary textile production. Fabric preparation, dyeing, and finishing pollute large amounts of water, increasing the need for expensive water treatments. By avoiding new processes, the introduction of new chemical pollutants into water is avoided.
